01 The Manual Way
0:02 Every benchmark report used to be assembled by hand, copied from workbook to chatbot to Word.
On screen: Illustration of the old way. Reports assembled by hand.
02 One Command
0:09 Now, in an AI assistant, a consultant types one command.
0:13 It asks three questions: which company, which reports and which year; that's the whole setup.
03 The Firm's Own Data
0:20 The connector pulls the firm's own benchmark data, with every score set against the Top 10.
0:25 Peer companies stay anonymous, named only by letter, with their scores rounded to bands.
On screen: Anonymity guardrail. Peers kept anonymous.
04 Drafted and Packaged
0:31 The assistant adds outside research, then writes the analysis from the firm's numbers.
0:37 The connector never writes the analysis: it supplies the data, then packages three Word documents in the firm's house format.
On screen: The connector writes no analysis. Data in, documents out.
05 Three Reports
0:44 One request returns three reports: a full benchmark, an executive brief and a resource-group plan.
0:51 The full report puts each metric beside the Top 10 and the industry's best, and shows the gap.
0:58 Benchmark Report Connector, built by Mambo for a benchmarking firm.
The problem
Reports by Hand. Numbers That Drift.
Every benchmarking report used to be assembled by hand: numbers pulled from per-company workbooks, pasted into a chatbot and stitched into Word.
It was slow, it drifted from the data, and it was hard to audit.
What it does
The Firm's Data. The Firm's House Style.
The connector works inside Claude. A consultant types the report command and answers three questions: company, reports and year. The connector supplies the firm's own benchmark data, with peer companies kept anonymous, and Claude adds outside research and writes the analysis. The connector then packages three Word documents in the firm's house format: a full benchmarking report, an executive brief and an action plan for business resource groups.

The Firm's Own Data
Scores compared with the Top 10 average and the industry's best performer, from the benchmark store.

Three Documents in House Style
Full report, executive brief and resource-group plan, named the way the firm ships them.
- 05
Signed, Expiring Links
Each file downloads from a signed link that expires after an hour.
What it doesn't claim
Data In, Documents Out. No Model Inside.
- Claude writes the analysis; the connector supplies the data and packages the files.
- Access is limited to approved accounts at the client.
- It reports on companies in the firm's benchmark data, not companies outside it.
About this demo
Recreated in Code, With a Fictional Benchmark.
The demo shows the connector at work inside a neutral, unbranded chat window, not any assistant's real interface, with an invented benchmarking firm, an invented food manufacturer and invented scores. The Word documents follow the firm's real house style with invented content.
